This is an 8X-80X Common Main Objective (CMO) binocular stereo microscope. The parallel optical paths, and single main objective of the CMO design eliminate the keystone distortion found in non-CMO microscopes, making this a very precise instrument, especially for photo-imaging applications. As well, the main objective is interchangeable, and can be easily switched. Either optical port or an optional side-mounted photo-port would allow the addition of an imaging system. The angle-adjustable optical ports allow for ergonomic height-customization for standing or seated positions.
